5 things to do this weekend

Here are some events to stay active as spring approaches

Boyne Mountain is hosting its carnival weekend. This is one of the many events happening March 19 and March 20.

  1. Break out the boards and skis one last time during Boyne Mountain’s carnival weekend. Featuring open skiing, costume contests, a slush pond and countless other activities this Friday through Sunday.
  2. MC Chris will be featured at The Intersection this Friday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15. Other performing artists include Nathan Anderson and Aramis.
  3. Grab some friends and stop by Grand Haven 9 for the opening of “Allegiant,” part three of the “Divergent” series. Popular showtimes include 7:30, 9:40, and 10:10 p.m.
  4. Throw back some laughs during national stand-up comedy showcase at the the Big Old Building  (B.O.B.)  in Grand Rapids on 20 Monroe Ave. NW. The show begins at 7 p.m. with artists including Ahmed Bharoochea and Jesse Joyce.
  5. Keep the weekend vibes rolling Monday night, and stop by the Grand Haven girls opening soccer game against Fruitport. Kickoff is at 4 p.m. on the turf field.
