Here are some events to stay active as spring approaches

- Break out the boards and skis one last time during Boyne Mountain’s carnival weekend. Featuring open skiing, costume contests, a slush pond and countless other activities this Friday through Sunday.
- MC Chris will be featured at The Intersection this Friday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15. Other performing artists include Nathan Anderson and Aramis.
- Grab some friends and stop by Grand Haven 9 for the opening of “Allegiant,” part three of the “Divergent” series. Popular showtimes include 7:30, 9:40, and 10:10 p.m.
- Throw back some laughs during national stand-up comedy showcase at the the Big Old Building (B.O.B.) in Grand Rapids on 20 Monroe Ave. NW. The show begins at 7 p.m. with artists including Ahmed Bharoochea and Jesse Joyce.
- Keep the weekend vibes rolling Monday night, and stop by the Grand Haven girls opening soccer game against Fruitport. Kickoff is at 4 p.m. on the turf field.
