Tea Time with National Honors Society

Tea Time with National Honors Society

Emily Jarrell, Reporter

What Happened:

National Honor Society served tea to ladies at Coastal Community Church on Saturday December 7. They served tea, cakes and sandwiches to these ladies while they listened to a guest speaker. The members showed up at 9 a.m. to prepare the tables and food and then the actual event went on from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The ladies they were serving ranged from anywhere from 12 years old and up.

What this means:

The National Honor Society members collected more volunteering hours towards their goal and also get an insight on volunteering for the community.

They said it:

“It was fun to serve,” Senior Natalie Currie said. “Everyone that we were serving was so polite and grateful that we were there. It surprised me how grateful they were, not that I thought they weren’t going to be but, they made us these thank you cards and it was all really nice.”
