Grand Haven Area Public schools will be closed on Monday, Nov 22 and Tuesday Nov 23. This includes all K-12 buildings as well as preschool and open door. 

“As you know, we are doing everything we can to maintain the health and safety of our students and staff,” Superintendent Andy Ingall said in a statement released on Thursday, Nov 18.

After careful consideration, Ingall decided on a temporary district-wide closure due to the number of COVID-19 cases in the district and staffing challenges. 

“We believe this action will allow students and staff to return from Thanksgiving Break in better health, ready to resume teaching and learning for the three weeks leading up to Winter Break,” Ingall said.

These days will be treated as snow days. They will only need to be made up in the case that we exceed our six allowable snow days.
