A brand new club has started this year, the S.A.F.E. club. (Students Against Firearms in Education)
“Gun violence is a big problem in the U.S. and I founded this club on the belief that no one should fear going to school.” said senior Alexandra Bakker, Founder of S.A.F.E.
Meetings are every other Thursday after school in the LGI. There are two more meetings this semester, one on Thursday, Nov. 30, and one on Dec. 14. Meetings are open to anyone and feel free to just show up. The club’s Google Classroom code is on fliers in the hallways or you can contact Alexandra Bakker at [email protected] with any questions.
“Our next meeting we are going to be putting together a new project for our school,” said Bakker.” It’s going to help keep Grand Haven High School students more informed and prepared in the realm of school safety.”
