What Happened: At a home match on Thursday, Sept. 17, the Bucs came into the day with a thirst for redemption after shooting a season high last week. They accomplished just that. Senior Anna Gagnon shot a career low 9-hole round of 40, while sophomore Audrey Reus shot a season low 43. This was crucial to the Bucs in securing a victory, which they did in a dominating fashion. Junior Ashley Vorac and sophomore Bekah Schrader also contributed to the Bucs’ success, aiding them to a lopsided victory of 188-213.

Key Player: Senior Anna Gagnon stepped up in the Bucs time of need, finishing the day with a career low, 5-over par, 40.

They Said It: “We have had a problem with each girl having a blow up hole or two in each round,” coach Roger Glass said. “Today we had no double digit scores. Anna Gagnon shot her career low today with a 40 and Audrey Reus had her season low 43. The rest of the girls are close to getting their scores in the 40s… that’s what we need to compete with the top teams.”

Key Moment: Not a single player on the Grand Haven team had a hole with a score in the double digits, which was really important for the Bucs moving forward as they prepare to compete at regionals in a few weeks.

Up Next: The Bucs travel to Rockford Friday, Sept. 17, to compete in the OK- Red mid-season tournament.
