Boys basketball falls to dominant Muskegon, 76-46

What Happened: The boys basketball team faced off against the Muskegon Big Reds in a matchup of two hot teams. Grand Haven had won five straight games going into the matchup, and Muskegon had only lost one as well. The Bucs and Big Reds exchanged the first few baskets, but Muskegon was quickly able to build a lead to go into the second quarter ahead 17-7. In the second quarter, Muskegon was able to lock down defensively and take a 29-9 lead into the locker room. By the end of the third quarter, it was a 53-22 advantage for the Big Reds. Both offenses continued to exchange baskets in the fourth quarter, but the Big Reds were able to pull off a 76-46 victory.

Key Moment: The Bucs had a strong third quarter that resulted in 13 points.

Record: 5-2

Next Up: The Bucs travel to Hudsonville to face off against the Eagles this Friday,  Jan. 8.
