What: The Bucs split a doubleheader against their rival, the Rockford Rams on Monday night. Pitching was excellent in both games by Sean Casey and Max Schweikert resulting in two low scoring battles, the first of which was a loss for the Bucs, 3-2. The second game had more offensive help in a 6-3 victory for Grand Haven. The team is currently sitting at second place in the O-K Red with a 17-15 record and are playing the best baseball they have played in years. Veteran leadership is paving the path towards success with this team and is leading the Bucs to winning ways.

They said it: “Our record is how the outside world measures success,” Head Coach Mike Hansen said. “Not us, our measurable is our approach, our competitiveness, and our desire. It all starts with pitching, Sean Casey and Max Schweikert did an outstanding job tonight as they have all year long.”

Up Next: The Bucs take on the Rockford Rams on the road to close out the series on Wednesday.
