Future Buccaneers to be featured alongside dance team Friday night
October 17, 2019
The Grand Haven dance team will be performing with kids in kindergarten through 6th grade during the halftime of the Friday, October 18 home football game.
The event is part of the youth night that is going on at the game. Young football players and dancers will be a part of the activities to see what high school sports are all about. It also begins to create a connection between the players and dancers.
“Everyone is super excited and can’t wait to perform,” captain Julia Kapala said.
The team hosted a fundraiser clinic on Sunday for the children, where they learned their entire performance. The money raised will go towards bettering the dance program for the future.
“It’s been great,” captain Lainey Vanbeek said. “The kids are ready and can’t wait. The practices have gone really well.”
This week is the last home football game of the season, and therefore the last time to see the dance team perform until basketball season.
