Seniors commit to college athletics

SPEECH: Women’s Soccer head coach, Yvonne McKessy, speaks about each player before the signing. From left to right, Strohmeyer, Wilson, Richardson, Wagasky and assistant coach, Dave Prout listen. McKessy became tearful several times while putting into words her memories of each player.

WHAT: Six seniors committed to the college of their choice to continue their academic and sports careers. 

WHO: Mia Strohmeyer, Neala Wilson, Avery Richardson and Carley Wagasky play soccer while Landon VanBeek and Tanner Williams play football. Strohmeyer committed to Muskegon Community College, Wilson to Lawrence Tech University, Richardson to Eastern Illinois University, Wagasky to the University of Findlay, VanBeek to Hillsdale College and Williams to Ashland University. 

WHEN: The signings took place on Wednesday, February 3 in the aux gym. The girls went first at 3:00 p.m. with the boys following at 3:30 p.m.
