GHHS Young Democrats club looking to gain new members
Young Democrats club is one of the many activities available to students at Grand Haven High School, those who choose to participate will be discussing liberal and progressive issues, looking for ways to campaign for social justice and equal rights, they also organize to help advance progressive causes.

WHEN: Tuesday’s after school from 3:00-3:30 PM
According to Carli Whalen (The Student Advisor For The Young Democrats Club) The club “discusses specific issues that our members feel are relevant or are particularly passionate about, But I would say the most important thing we discuss is student engagement in politics”.
The GHHS Young Democrats Club is one of many affiliates of the Young Democrats Of America, which has 150,000 nationwide members. This club is one of the many opportunities Grand Haven High School offers for a range of personalities and interests.
The Young Democrats Of America is the largest youth-led, political group in America. Whalen says “We are interested in registering with them (The Young Democrats Of America) later in the year, but we currently do not receive any resources from them”.
In High schools, and colleges across the nation, Young Democrats unite to discuss the pressing issues in their area, and on the national stage. Currently, the club has only 7 members, and they are looking to expand, So if you’re interested in political change and you want to make a difference, join the Young Democrats club!
