What Happened: The Buccaneer squad battled against the Spring Lake Lakers until the very end but were unable to come out on top in a 69-66 double-overtime game. They were hit with a rough scoring episode and ended up shooting under 30% from the 3 point line. Spring Lake executed their aggressive physicality, which lead them to have 27 more free throws than the Buccaneers. Although it was a loss, junior Bryce Taylor and sophomore Owen Ross were two effective components of bringing energy throughout the entire game.

They Said It: “Looking back, we wish we could have been a little more patient on offense and definitely kept our composure a little better,” assistant coach Cam Hewitt said.

What’s Next: The Bucs are keeping their heads high and learning from this game going into the next contest against Muskegon.
