What: The girls varsity basketball team bounced back from a close loss against East Kentwood with a 37-30 win against shoreline rivals West Ottawa. After a tough game littered with turnovers forced by persistent defense, the Bucs were able to overcome a seven point deficit and won by seven after several made free-throws and forced turnovers.

They Said It: “Our press helped us a lot tonight,” junior Alli Keyser said. “We like to make teams play faster than what they’re used to and tonight it got us some easy buckets.”

What’s Next?: The Bucs head to Hudsonville for their third conference clash of the year.
