COVID-19 will not affect snow days at Grand Haven High School.

Snow day policies will not be affected because of COVID-19. Deciding if the roads are not driveable hasn’t changed at all for superintendent Andy Ingall.

Students are concerned about more school days being added at the end of the school year, but this is not the case.

“‘Forgiven time’ for snow days from the state is calculated in hours, not days,”’ Ingall said. “For us, it equates to about six school days.”

Students should have no fear. They’ve been graced with three snow days this school year and still have wiggle room for the rest of the year.
