School library now on wheels
Grand Haven Area Public Schools is now delivering library books to those who need them for the rest of first semester.
“All students have to do is go on Destiny Discover and reserve books they want,” media specialist Dana Rider said.
Books put on hold are delivered within the next two days. Students are allowed to have 10 books checked out at once.
“You can put more than 10 books on hold, just because sometimes they’re checked out,” Rider said. “But up to 10 books can be checked out.”
When students are finished with their books, they can fill out a Google Form and have them picked up.
“You just fill that out,” Rider said. “Then they will pick up any return on the designated day. It depends on what elementary area that you live in, as to what day of the week they’re going to come and do pickups for returns.”
For more information, students can check out the announcement principal Tracy Wilson sent out regarding library book drop off delivery.
“So far it’s worked out really well,” Rider said. “The feedback I’ve gotten back from students is that they’ve really liked it.”
