Science Olympiad is looking for new members to join their team. Applications are due by 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19th. Interested students can send an email to head coach Mike Reed at [email protected] in order to receive and turn in applications.

“My favorite part is being able to learn about things beyond what we’re taught in school and do it with a bunch of people who have the same interests as me,” said junior Kyla Streng. “I kept doing it because… I made a lot of friends through the programs that were really similar to me.”

Science Olympiad allows students to dive deeper into subjects that interest them, and members work hard to compete and keep up the high reputation they’ve built.

“It’s a big dedication and commitment,” Streng said. “But it’s definitely rewarding because it’s taught me many study habits and skills and has made me a better learner and… more curious.”
