Grand Haven girls basketball defeats West Ottawa 59-52

What Happened: Coming off of a tough one point loss to Grandville on Friday, Feb. 20, the girls basketball team bounced back with a 59-52 win over West Ottawa on Tuesday. The Bucs previously suffered a 49-41 loss to the Panthers earlier in the season.

Star of the game: Senior point guard Amanda Merz came out scorching hot against the Panthers scoring 19 points in the first half. She came up just short of the girls’ all time single game scoring record (31) by knocking down three 3-pointers on her way to scoring 29 points on the night.
