Community celebrates building addition

A blue ribbon stretched across the front of the school on Wednesday night at a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the new additions to the building.

One of those ribbon-cutters was principal Tracy Wilson.

“I just took an opportunity to thank our community, to thank our architect and our construction company along with our operations director and our facility coordinator for what they did here on campus,” Wilson said.

The ribbon was cut in front of the new music wing, the Performing Arts Center, and outside of the new fitness center and TV station. The marching band, chamber orchestra, and ensemble choir were there to play the fight song. Also in attendance were former superintendent, Keith Konarska, and his successor Andrew Ingall.

Viewers were then allowed to take self-directed tours of the new facilities.

“People were extremely impressed,” Wilson said. “Especially because some of the community members that came had not visited our campus since all of the construction fencing and everything was gone.”
