Boys Basketball plays for Purple Pride

Abigail Holman and Anna Ackerman

What: The Boys Varsity basketball team will wear purple jerseys to remember and honor those who are battling cancer or those who lost their fight.  The Bucs Pride basketball game happens once a year.  Each player will support a survivor or someone who is fighting by wearing their name on the back of their shirt. The Boys will play Caledonia who they beat prior in the season 67-57.

When: On Friday Feb. 3 the Field House will be decked out in a sea of purple as they  face Caledonia at six o’clock.

Key Players: “I think the key players are Zac Holman and Ross Koella,” sophomore Bryce Taylor said.  “Zac is our leader and he needs to have a good game, and if Ross does too then that means the whole team will.”

They Said It:“Last game (against Caledonia) we had a good start and then we didn’t do so good,” Taylor said.  “We are looking for a better ending.”
