2018 Winter Olympics: Results from Feb.20

Notable American Results: Americans, Kikkan Randall and Jessie Diggins won gold medals in the team sprint race for Cross Country skiing, defeating Sweden and Norway. United States also took home a medal in women’s long track speed skating, they were able to beat Canada out for that third place spot. In the bobsled, American Elana Meyers Taylor took home a silver medal just like she did at the last games four years ago. Lastly, in the Alpine skiing, women’s downhill, Lindsey Vonn contributed to the medal count for team USA by securing a third place finish and bronze medal.

 

Other Notable Results: The men’s teams sprint cross country team from Norway won a gold medal, adding to the country’s first place medal count. From Canada, Brady Leman got first place in the men’s ski cross.

 

What to Watch For: The United States will square off against Canada in the women’s Hockey final, Austrian Skier, Marcel Hirscher will compete for his third gold medal in ski racing.
