Senior Caleb Berko is embarking on his third and final journey around the sun as a member of the Blade staff, and he cannot wait to get underway. In his free time, he loves being with his family, reading books, and listening to Taylor Swift. Among other things, Berko is a member of Student Senate, National Honor Society, the NHS leadership team, cross country, boy scouts and is the managing editor and executive editorial board member of the Blade. Berko is an Eagle Scout. He is also the senior class president. Looking ahead, Berko plans to soak up all the great experiences of senior year and is hopeful, yet anxious, about his next chapter of life.

As senior Jackson Schulte sips his latte, he muses about coordinating activist efforts. “What really pisses me off is social media activism,” Schulte said. “When people see something on Instagram, so they decide to share it on their story to plant a tree, that makes me angry. You sitting on your butt is not the extent to which you should be involved, that’s not going to make a difference or help anyone.”
