Mock Trial club had a successful competition on Feb. 22. The team had an overall 3rd place finish.

The club, led by teacher Jason Duram, competed in a trial simulation that they practiced since October. This year the case featured an asylum application. Members of the team studied the case and knew all aspects of it.

The club is perfect for anyone interested in becoming an attorney, learning aspects of the courtroom and debating. It showcases how the legal system works- the good and bad.

Junior Charlie Bylsma was a part of this year’s team and learned many things from her experience.

“One thing I’ve taken away from this is that integrity goes a long way,” Bylsma said. “It showed me how to be professional.”
